Dr. Jenny Seiss has worked in the field of mental health with children and families as a parent educator, teacher, and therapist for the last twenty-five years. She has experience working with clients struggling with a range of emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma & abuse, and behavioral problems.

Dr. Seiss has dedicated a great deal of her academic studies to understanding the dynamics and assessment of the family system, especially the unique interactions between parent and child. Her research and passion have focused on how family dynamics and parental characteristics influence child behavior and personality development. Dr. Seiss completed her doctoral dissertation on the effects of parenting on child behavior, which was published and well-received in the academic community. As a professional speaker, she has presented to teachers, parents, and therapists at the national level.

In 2015, Dr. Seiss founded Oaktree Guidance & Wellness Center, which has grown into a trusted resource for mental health services in the Fort Wayne area. Building on this foundation, she recently established the Family Guidance Center, a division of Oaktree Guidance & Wellness Center, created specifically to provide specialized services for high-conflict families.

• Custody Evaluations (Per Court Order Only): Comprehensive forensic evaluations to assist the court in determining custody and parenting arrangements.

• Counseling: Drawing on years of experience in custody evaluations and parenting assessments, Dr. Seiss provides practical, nonjudgmental guidance designed to reduce conflict, improve communication, and support healthier family dynamics. Evening and Saturday hours are available.

• Psychological Evaluations: Comprehensive psychological assessments designed to help identify emotional, behavioral, and cognitive strengths and challenges. Testing can be helpful for treatment planning, self-understanding, or diagnostic clarification.
