Heather is a skilled family therapist who specializes in helping children and adolescents navigate the challenges of divorce and family transition. She is passionate about meeting each individual where they are, building on their strengths, and supporting them in achieving their goals through compassionate, strengths-based care. Heather places strong emphasis on creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, trust, and unconditional positive regard, helping children and families grow even in the midst of change.
Heather often works with families to strengthen the parent–child relationship during and after divorce, recognizing that parental involvement is a key part of a child’s healing and adjustment. She integrates mindfulness, self-regulation skills, and yoga into her work to support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety and depression, and promote daily self-care.
Trained in evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, Heather also brings expertise in behavior modification, parenting effectiveness, social skills building, executive functioning, and communication skills. Her approach is collaborative and family-centered, designed to help children feel heard, supported, and empowered as they adapt to new family dynamics.

Counseling: Drawing on years of experience working with children and their families, Heather provides warm, practical, and nonjudgmental support designed to help kids feel safe, understood, and supported through life’s challenges. Her work focuses on helping children manage big emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen their relationships with parents and caregivers. Heather also partners closely with families to improve communication, reduce conflict, and create more stable, nurturing home environments that support children’s emotional and social growth.
Heather completed her Master's of Arts at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She maintains an associate's license in Indiana as a mental health counselor. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
